Baby Greta hit the 6 month mark. I am in love with her and this stage, she's so smiley and so much find she lights up when you walk into the room, and those arms just go a flapping. It is the highlight of my day every time. Our little chunkier is 17 lbs even, love those rolls. She's actually quite long as well about 26.5 inches, 75th percentile. We shall see how long that lasts, time will tell if she takes after her mom or dad in that department.
Solids....loves them, tanks them gets crazy excited about them. Love it.
She sleep trained herself, yes, you read it right, she sleep trained herself. I'm not sure how it happened, but she has always loved sleeping on her tummy, but we never let her, we would always put her on her side. (The head thing) but a while back we started letting her sleep on her belly, and she just started going to sleep alone. We would lay her there with her pacifier, and just pat her little bum for a few mins, and then leave. She never really fussed, and if she did it was just that she accidentally spit out her pacifier. So we are insanely happy we got to skip the "cry it out" thing for now, but when the pacifier goes, we will have our share. So for the time being, we just enjoy our mellow little Greta.
She's rolling over a lot, which is somewhat problematic. Don't get me wrong, we are thrilled she is cruising along in her development, but There may be a slight problem with her growth plates on her head, so we must keep her off of it as much as possible. They've been watching it since she was weeks old, and no amount of tummy time, and keeping her off her head seemed to show any improvement. Esthetically it's not bad, but it's more of a developmental concern. Well, now that she can roll from her belly to her back, it's harder to keep her off her back. So I wake up and check periodically to make sure she continues to sleep on her belly. (don't worry, we have a breathing monitor and she keeps her pacifier in at night) we see a cranial specialist at the end of the month, wish us luck.
