Thanksgiving at preschool

My little pilgrim! Eve did such a fantastic job at her thanksgiving show at school, it was so cute! Her teachers really did a great job, they are really great at their job.
The kids sang a few songs, recited a scriptural verse, and did the "turkey dance". They did the chicken dance, but instead of lying around during the chorus, they gobbled around like turkeys, seriously cute. We grabbed a frozen yogurt after just us big girls, it was so greatvtonhang out with my girl.

Parent observation day

Parent observation day at Eve's dance class, can you spot Graham? Lonely little man with headphones in the left. He can be such a good boy. He didn't even look up from the iPad the entire time, just lost in his movie and snacks.
Braden surprised Eve by showing up to watch, and well, as you can imagine, she was just thrilled! She even got to dance with him. Those two have such a special bond, i will always be second best, and that's ok. I love how close they are.

Random little moments

Greta has discovered her love for books. Even if they are upside down, she loves them all.
I'm not sure if this is forgetfulness or laziness....but if happens a lot.
He keeps trying to blow out the candle, and its just so cute to watch him try, I don't have the heart to tell him it's fake.

Little treasures

I love finding little treasures in Nanny's scriptures. It just makes me feel close to her sometimes. Like she's watching.

It's the most wonderful time of the year

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Kids were thrilled to get to finally put up the tree! We managed to do it with only two casualties. And thanks to the little ornament thief, we could only decorate the top half.

Proofs of PreK picture day

Proofs for Eve's school pictures. We totally kicked out, I actually did her hair in preparation for our family pictures we were having done that afternoon. When we arrived at school, i was reminded that it was school picture day! Perfect, I had completely forgotten. So it all worked out alright in the end. The photographer loved her, kept calling her a mini Marilyn Monroe.

Eve's big girl bed

Eves new bed. I wanted to surprise her with a big girl bed when she returned from her stay with April. So I made her a farmhouse style slat headboard and footboard. This was such a fun project! I had a lot of fun, and Graham of course liked helping.

Family Photos fall 2014

Seriously, Maggie is amazing. I simply couldn't narrow down my favorites to less than about 20, there are just sooo many good ones! She did such a great job, and she even had less than desirable circumstances. The park we chose because it was right by Braden's work, so he could just run down, jump in a few pictures and head back to work. Graham hadn't napped, so he was being a little stinker. Another person at the park was blowing bubbles for their toddler, so naturally my kids wanted to get in on their fun instead of get pictures done. And, there were other families getting pics done at the same park, and judging by the sweaters, etc they were for christmas cards. Anyway, between sharing the park, and cranky kids, she got some amazing shots!

Our Maggie

Maggie came to visit! She had a job to do shooting some video for a hotel here in Huntersville, it was perfect! We got to have this slice Of heaven stay with us for a few days. It was such fun, we got to introduce her to Bojangles, Charlotte, my famous (or not so famous) cinnamon French toast, and some amazing BBQ! She was kind enough to snap some amazing shots of the family while he was here, she is truly a genius with a camera, I am consistently smitten with all her work! We miss our Maggie already, and wishing her quick return!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from our pirates and mermaid! They had a blast trick or treating, graham couldn't say the words, but he loved taking the candy. They made it for a while longer than we thought they would, but remained pretty energetic. I wonder if the sugar rush had anything to do with that? They were quite willing to donate their remaining candy to the "candy fairy" so she can build her castle, and she compensated them with a toy. All in all, a very successful Halloween at the Edwards home.

Halloween party at school

Eve had a Halloween party to school, and it was so fun to see everyone's costumes. But the best, was when her teacher, dressed as Obama, asked Eve "do you know who I am?"
Eve replies, wih a lot of uncertainty, "umm, a man that's chocolate"
I near died. Apparently I don't teach her enough about current events or politics, or diversity for that matter. But, it was a good guess. I love her and her honestly.

Graham's new spot

This kid, he's always got us laughing. One day, I went in to wake him from his nap, as we had to drive Eve to dance class. I was amused to find little legs hanging out of his closet. He had dragged his bedding into his closet and set up camp in there. I figured it was just a funny thing he tried. Well, a month later, and he still spends every nap and night in his closet. For whatever reason, he likes it better in there.

Table #2

Made another table to hold potted plants in our sun room. I love getting to use my hands and build something, I really really enjoy it.

Big girl ponies

This girl and her swings. The dimples, the grin, and her in her fort set of big girl ponies. THere's nothing I don't love about this picture.

Snowball

Meet snowball. He's Greta's favorite. He is becoming her version of Max, Eve's companion.

Lowes

This is what a trip to lowes looks like. We are usually quite the spectacle. Believe it or not, his was an easy trip, because graham decided to take a nap in the cart. He's usually running all over this place fascinated  with all the tools and equipment. But today, a tender mercy, he passed out.
