This is my belly at 34 weeks (or about 3 days ago). It is getting so big, I can hardly believe it when I compare it to my other pictures. At my last ultrasound around 31 weeks they measured her, and she was already 3 lbs 5 oz. My last appointment with my doctor he told me that at the rate I am going I should expect the baby to be about 5 lbs at 34 weeks...Wow, she is going to be a big baby! But the big D-day is coming up, and we are getting more and more excited :)

Christmas in the City

Christmas was so fun this year! In order to stay withinin our little budget, and due to my enormous midsection, neither of us could go home for christmas, so we decided to have our own little celebration just the two of us. Christmas eve we went in to New York City, we stopped at FAO Schwartz to see the giant piano and to see all of their big toy displays. It was really cool, I especially liked the Lego area, probably because I played with Lego so much as a kid. We found life size characters entirely made out of lego! As you can see...batman is very intimidated.

We also went to see the Rockafeller Tree downtown, it was so big! But it seemed small in comparison to the huge building, either way it was a beautiful site. My favorite part of the evening was grabbing a burger at Five Guys, the best burger place ever! The last time I had been there was just before Braden and I moved from Utah to come out this direction. It was a nice little taste of what we left behind, although it wasn't the same without Michael and Brooke.

It was a little challenging walking around the city that much being huge and pregnant, the crowds just sort of bump you around, especially when you're my height, they can't hardly see me...but it was definitely worth it. I guess it goes to show that a staycation can be almost as fun as a real vacation.

We also walked around window shopping at places like Luis Vitton, Prada, Valentino, Cartier, etc just to satisfy our curiousity as to how much some of these high rollers spend around christmas. It was fun to see all of the extravagent things. Some of the stores had the most amazing window displays, they were so detailed and perfectly set up. Braden was very patient as I spent a lot of time gazing at window displays.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Ok, so I know it has been a while, but here we go.
Well, I know some may think that I am a little too hardcore about Christmas, mainly because my tree has been up since November 12th or so. But Christmas is by far my favorite holiday. I start shopping really early, get all my decorations up early, and just try to squeeze the most I can out of the season. I have mixed feelings about the fact that there is no snow outside, I like the nice weather, but it takes from the essence of Christmas!
A few weeks ago Braden and I got the opportunity to see the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular in the city, at radiocity! It definitely lived up to the name, it was awesome. The lobby had this amazing chandeleir that was so beautiful! The whole place was incredible. I had never seen anything like it, it definitely got me in the christmas spirit. The city is now all decorated with lights on lampposts and wreaths everywhere...I just love it! It was a night to remember, with everything going on we haven't been able to go out on a real date in a while, so this was much needed. We got to just spend time together walking around the city, well I sort of waddled around the city haha. But I got to experience Bubba Gump Shrimp for the first time, Braden thought I was crazy that I had never eaten there before, so we went there before the show.
So now that I am fully in the spirit, I am just awaiting a few supplies to finish some christmas projects.
