Today was one of those days where you think to yourself "Is it a full moon or something?!" Things were so wrong and backwards. After a stressful day at work I picked up Eve and she was having an "off" day as well. She was so cranky, didn't want to eat (no fever or anything) didn't want a drink, was screaming a lot, and is as of lately really into hitting.
Nothing was working, she wasn't responding to love and cuddles or books, or even animal games which always work. She even screamed the entire duration of her bath. As I am taking a time out myself and counting to ten, which I do when motherhood can be overwhelming, I asked myself said question out of frustration.
Getting to the point, after a crazy day and feeling like a terrible mother, It was time for Eve to go to bed which she was NOT happy about. But as I was singing her favorite primary songs, and her finally calming down for the first time all night, she nuzzled into my neck. And with a sigh she hugs me and says "my mommy, 'sigh' my mommy" and then she drifted off to sleep. Magical...purely magical. How can two words mean so much? It is amazing how a little love and reassurance from our children can affect us. My day suddenly was great, nothing else mattered. I am proud to be her mommy.

Every Day She's Shufflin
Eve loves this song! She hates to be filmed while she dances, so I could only get little clips of her doing the Party Rock Shuffle. She will watch this so intently and try to do the moves, it's awesome! And I swear she sometimes wears pants...

One of those days
Ever had "one of those days"? Well, Eve did...Don't ask me how she lost her pants, because I have no idea. She likes to be naked and tends to leave her clothes in random places.
She found out what it means to be "stuck between a rock and a hard place" AKA The wall and the fridge.

18 Months
18 months old already?! 1 1/2, I really had a hard time with this one, she is really starting to be a big girl. She's acting more like a kid and far less like a baby. The last few months I have realized how much of a little sponge she is. She picks up new words just like that, it's like having a little parrot follow me around. It is really fun, although we are learning to watch what we say. Eve is turning out to be quite the little domestic diva, I just love it! When I start wiping counters, she grabs a dish towel, as they are within her reach, and starts wiping the floor (sometimes with her foot like mommy does) If I am loading the dishwasher, she is trying to put in the soap, and same goes for laundry, cooking etc. She just loves to be my little helper, and it makes me so glad. She still has her "issues" with being dirty, but she is getting better, she is accepting a little mess and allowing herself to play in the dirt. Will I regret this later? Should I keep her a clean freak like her mom?
We are finding out much more about our little lady as she gets better at expressing herself, she is turning out to have some sweetness under all that sass. She is more cuddly now, and enjoys the bedtime routine. If she sees someone sad she tries to comfort them, give you kisses, or just wipes your tears...so cute!
New updates for 18 months:
-Done potty training...YAY! (when are they "done"? she still wears a pull-up for naps and night, but very rarely has an accident)
-Has so many words I can hardly keep track, they just keep coming, and surprising me
-Newest favorite saying "oh man!" when she falls or is disappointed
-Loves babies, dogs, and anything with hair (resembling a dog)
-obsessed with bubbles
-wants to wear those plastic princess shoes everywhere, and wears them around the house constantly
-tries to pick out her own clothes, this is still a work in progress haha
-Barely over 21 lbs, lost weight...not so good, but we can work on that
-doesn't like any juice, but loves her milk
-32 inches long 95th percentile
-extremely active
-so far keeping her blonde curls

I just can't give her enough kisses! Apparently the feeling isn't mutual :)

Old Friends
You know those friends, the ones that you may not see for a long period of time, but when you get back together it's like no time had passed?
Well, Eve and Kerrigan have found that as well :) It was so cute to watch them play together! Mainly because now Eve can interact with Kerrigan instead of just drooling on her, but all the same. (And yes, it was a coincidence that they had matching swim suits)

Trip to Utah
Utah was a much needed vacation. We really needed a change of scenery and pace from our busy busy life out East. It was so nice to have the luxury of having a backyard to go read in, or just let Eve run around in. Eve had a blast digging in the garden with Braden's mom, and exploring their exquisite yard.
Podding peas
We had the opportunity to visit many relatives while we were there, a perk to having them all live so close. Eve was great with everyone, loved all the attention.
Eve had so many kisses for great Grandpa Ralph, it could have something to do with his handful of m&ms, but all the same :)
It was a great trip, we got to do many things and I sadly didn't get more pictures. We got to go to the Raging Waters water park, visit old friends, see family and even squeeze in a little relaxing.
