This is my belly at 34 weeks (or about 3 days ago). It is getting so big, I can hardly believe it when I compare it to my other pictures. At my last ultrasound around 31 weeks they measured her, and she was already 3 lbs 5 oz. My last appointment with my doctor he told me that at the rate I am going I should expect the baby to be about 5 lbs at 34 weeks...Wow, she is going to be a big baby! But the big D-day is coming up, and we are getting more and more excited :)

Christmas in the City

Christmas was so fun this year! In order to stay withinin our little budget, and due to my enormous midsection, neither of us could go home for christmas, so we decided to have our own little celebration just the two of us. Christmas eve we went in to New York City, we stopped at FAO Schwartz to see the giant piano and to see all of their big toy displays. It was really cool, I especially liked the Lego area, probably because I played with Lego so much as a kid. We found life size characters entirely made out of lego! As you can see...batman is very intimidated.

We also went to see the Rockafeller Tree downtown, it was so big! But it seemed small in comparison to the huge building, either way it was a beautiful site. My favorite part of the evening was grabbing a burger at Five Guys, the best burger place ever! The last time I had been there was just before Braden and I moved from Utah to come out this direction. It was a nice little taste of what we left behind, although it wasn't the same without Michael and Brooke.

It was a little challenging walking around the city that much being huge and pregnant, the crowds just sort of bump you around, especially when you're my height, they can't hardly see me...but it was definitely worth it. I guess it goes to show that a staycation can be almost as fun as a real vacation.

We also walked around window shopping at places like Luis Vitton, Prada, Valentino, Cartier, etc just to satisfy our curiousity as to how much some of these high rollers spend around christmas. It was fun to see all of the extravagent things. Some of the stores had the most amazing window displays, they were so detailed and perfectly set up. Braden was very patient as I spent a lot of time gazing at window displays.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Ok, so I know it has been a while, but here we go.
Well, I know some may think that I am a little too hardcore about Christmas, mainly because my tree has been up since November 12th or so. But Christmas is by far my favorite holiday. I start shopping really early, get all my decorations up early, and just try to squeeze the most I can out of the season. I have mixed feelings about the fact that there is no snow outside, I like the nice weather, but it takes from the essence of Christmas!
A few weeks ago Braden and I got the opportunity to see the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular in the city, at radiocity! It definitely lived up to the name, it was awesome. The lobby had this amazing chandeleir that was so beautiful! The whole place was incredible. I had never seen anything like it, it definitely got me in the christmas spirit. The city is now all decorated with lights on lampposts and wreaths everywhere...I just love it! It was a night to remember, with everything going on we haven't been able to go out on a real date in a while, so this was much needed. We got to just spend time together walking around the city, well I sort of waddled around the city haha. But I got to experience Bubba Gump Shrimp for the first time, Braden thought I was crazy that I had never eaten there before, so we went there before the show.
So now that I am fully in the spirit, I am just awaiting a few supplies to finish some christmas projects.

Halloween Anyone?

This Halloween was great! It might be my favorite holiday, I love to see the different costumes. I love the creativity that people have. A really nice couple from the ward had a great Halloween party, we had so much fun. Rock band was a huge hit, and we got to play a new game called "Singing Star" it was awesome! Anyways, we didn't have many options for costumes, due to my bump, so we went with a "Shotgun Wedding". We had alot of fun with it, and Braden secretly loved the wig :) We had alot of fun, but I had alot of trouble getting the back-combing out of my hair the next day....but it was worth it! Hope everyone had a happy Halloween!!!!

Waveny Park

I know I am really bad at updating this blog, I am still learning how to use it. But as for an update, things are going really well out here. I am still working, only 2 days a week. Doing dental hygiene has gotten alot more difficult having a belly in the way, I am having to find new ways to access my patient's mouths to get them clean. But I enjoy working, it's keeping me busy enough but not wearing me out. So I like the balance so far. Braden is really enjoying his job, it's challenging and keeping him entertained. He says it can get stressful at times, but he enjoys the rush. Most of his co-workers are partying bachelor, a few years younger than Braden, so there is a bit of a lifestyle difference between he, a married soon-to-be-father and the bachelors, but he has managed to make friends just fine.

Well, this past weekend our good friend Lindsey was nice enough to take us out to this beautiful park in New Canaan call "Waveny Park". It is so pretty there, the Fall colors are just amazing. That is probably one of my favorite parts of being out here on the coast. It may be rainy more often, but it makes the trees look brilliant in the Autumn. Here are a few pictures of us out there, I am about 26 weeks pregnant here! I can't believe how fast it is going by, I am scared to think of how fast the next few months will pass, with the holidays and all....makes me nervous and excited at the same time! Its becoming alot more of a reality, Braden can feel the baby move alot, it still makes him really happy and excited everytime it happens. I am just starting to get a little more used to it, but just as soon as I feel that I am used to it, the kicking gets stronger and more frequent. But its all so new and exciting, we just can't wait to meet her!

A Day in The Big City

So Saturday Braden took me into NYC to spend our anniversary! We went first to get in line for the "Wicked" tickets lottery. It is great, every showtime for Wicked the box office sets aside a few seats (usually around 10) in the front rows. They open the lottery about 2 1/2 hours before the show would start, and people can put their names in to draw out for those great seats, if your name is drawn you get 2 tickets for about $26 each. Pretty sweet deal! anyways, we didn't get drawn, for either shows on Saturday. But we can say we tried, and we won't be beaten that easily....we plan on trying again soon.

Anyways, during the day between the two drawings we spent in Central Park, just walking around, had a picnic, and watching all the street preformers. It was a pretty good day. And the day ended with watching the BYU game at the Stokes' residence.

My First

This is my first Blog and I am still figuring out how to use it. The move went really well, we love it out here! We have had the opportunity to do some exploring and see a few sights in neighboring cities. We are all moved in, and getting into the swing of things.

This is the two of us on an adventure to Philly, that place is so interesting! We got to see most of the sights, and best of all, try a REAL philly cheesesteak sandwich. Did you know they use cheez wiz? It sounds gross, but it was so good! Probably the best part of the trip for me, maybe that's the pregnancy talking.
