Halloween

Another year of staying on a theme for Halloween :) I know it may be dorky, but I LOVE when my kids match. So I figured that the two babies have no opinion on what they wear, so I would work around Eve. She mentioned her want/need to be tinkerbell many times, but when I offered Little Red Riding Hood she was all for it. Great! That is an easy one. Well turns out that having a baby and hernia surgery in the weeks before, makes it not so easy. Such is life, but it's ok because we had a blast anyway. Costumes were simple, Little Red, the big bad wolf, and of course, Granny. Graham was not about to keep his wolf hat on for more than a millisecond, so we snapped a quick pic while I had him distracted with a snack. 

Due to our travels to Utah the week prior to Halloween, we missed our ward Trunk-or-treat. But we took Eve out trick or treating on the actual Halloween night. It was perfect, mid 60's clear night. Thanks to Hurricane sandi, and a freak blizzard her last two Halloweens were cancelled. So this really was her first real Halloween. She came out with tones of candy, so a successful Halloween it was :)

Family Pictures 10-13

One thing on our "must do" list while in Utah was family pictures. They were amazing at this photography studio 'camera shy' in South Jordan. They were so great with the kids, Graham is especially hard toget to look at the camera let alone smile! 

Poor Greta, she's so very loved by her siblings, it often leaves her squished....

We were just joking around in this picture, but it turned up In the finished product. It always gives us a good laugh. 

trip to Utah - part 2

The rest of our trip we got to visit Braden's grandparents, shop, get family pictures, visit friends,and just play. Having Braden to ourselves for a few days was such a treat! This is Grandpa Ralph, and Graham Ralph (little Ralphie) on his lap. 

I FINALLY got around to getting my wedding dress dry cleaned and boxed. Quite a few years late, but better late than never right? Eve had a lot of fun with it, she wore my veil for quite a while before I had to get everything packed up. She marveled at the beading and little pretty details, it was fun to reminisce and relive that beautiful day. She told me she wants to wear my princess dress and princess hat when she gets bigger. To be honest, nothing could make me happier :)

Trip to Utah - the cabin

Our trip to Utah started out right, a relaxing few days down at the cabin. Weather wasn't too bad, and it was sunny every day. Braden and his dad got their Deer quite early into the trip so it freed up their time to hang out with us. The kids absolutely loved it, they had room to run around both indoors and outdoors, it was a nice change for them. This is my kind of "roughing it", hot showers and heat, it's basically a home surrounded by peace and quiet, no cell reception...bliss. 

The kids loved the 4 wheelers, Eve just talked and talked the whole time, although I couldn't hear 90% of what she was saying. Graham fella sleep shortly into our ride, I guess it was the bumpy ride? Either way, we all benefited from a little fresh air. Being from an area so heavily populated, we had almost forgotten what fresh air is like! We had a blast, roasted marshmallows, over ate, caught a lizard, and enjoyed quality family time. 

First Smiles

Eve did it again, she was the first to get Greta's smile. Lucky little thing she is, both Graham and Greta have saved them for her. Must be a sign of how great a big sister she is :)

2 months for Greta

Well, I'm a little late with the post, as to be expected with 3 kids under 4 years old. Greta is growing up quickly, and as it saddens me to see her grow, I love how alert she is getting and much more responsive. She responds to voices more now, and likes to look at her toys. She's a mellow little thing, and is very quiet. Not often do you hear her cry, thank heavens. She's quite an exceptional baby. 

She's 23 inches long now, 50-75th percentile. And 11.5 lbs, also 50th percentile, which means she is back on her birth weight curve. She sleeps extremely well for a 2 month old, this little gem did almost 8 hours last night!!! Can you believe it?! She just might be my best sleeper yet. Hallelujah! She gave us her first smile this past couple of weeks,and just as the last, Eve was the one to get it out if her. 

Speaking of Eve, Greta is looking more and more like her everyday. There are times that I see Greta in one of Eve's old pair of pjs and I just get flashbacks of when Eve was a baby that size. Time will tell, but as for now she's looking very much like her sister.
