Great is 10 months

Miss Greta is 10 months old already! With the move, packing, etc this last month has just flown passed me. She goes for her last adjustment for the helmet this week, and then she only has to wear it for 3 more weeks. I can't wait! I'm not going to miss to smelly, sweaty mess it makes her hair. But I do love how cute she is with it on, I've become quite fond of it. Who knew?

The swing and bath are still her favorite places. She's a great eater, although she is starting to get more picky about baby food, she much prefers table food. But other than that, she is so awesome. Great sleeper, and the smiliest thing on the planet. 

Um....stairs? She just picked that up 2 days ago. Brutal. This has unleashed a whole new curiosity...things just got tricky around here. Kinda wish she could keep the helmet for the next 6 months....

End of an era

I get really emotional just getting ready to write this post. So many thoughts  and feelings just whizzing by in my mind. We are moving away from Connecticut and NYC area. This place has been our home for over 5 years now. We've become so attached to this place, and it really holds most of our dearest memories and experiences as a family.

I brought home all of my babies home here, Pine Hill ave. this place has seen many sleepless nights, rocking babies to sleep, feeding babies, raising them. It's seen many fights between children and many tender moments between them, I as a parent sometimes never thought possible. Its seen us as brand new parents fumbling our way through parenthood, just hoping to help our first child stay alive, and live through us newbies. And it's seen us become more experienced and feeling like old pros by our third, Then it's helped us when we were proven wrong haha. It's been home to birthday parties, celebrations and many Canadian thanksgivings :) it's had it's challenges. Leaking dishwashers, wet basements, flooded toilets, etc, but it's been our home. It's taught us what we want when we become home buyers, and it's taught us that family makes a home, not square footage or furnishings. She's been a trooper, housing families through storms like hurricane sandi and other storms that knocked out other peoples power.

We've been counseled, served, and so very cared for by our loving ward, and church members. We've made some amazing friendships that we hold so dearly. I am so thankful for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, it has really shaped us as a family, and we have seen it's blessings in the richest value. 

We will miss you terribly, I feel like I'm leaving behind so many things I didn't know how much I cared about, until we now have to leave them. we've learned so much from so many great people.

We have been so lucky to have NYC, the greatest city on earth, just down the street. We have learned to love love love this city. The hot summers, bazillions of tourists, flashing lights, smell of hot garbage, and countless street vendors. The life and energy of this place cannot be matched. The character filled places, authentic food, cultural events and shows. It's really just amazing. I could blab on and on as to how much we love this place. But like everything else, all good things must eventually come to an end. 

Braden has been so blessed with an opportunity to work for Wells Fargo headquarters, down in Charlotte NC. He's getting a chance to fulfill his ambitions he's had since college in the investment banking industry. We are so incredibly proud him, and excited for him. He's our hero, and he really completes us. We are embracing a new adventure, and we get to experience this "southern charm" I've heard so many great things about. So here's to great memories, and making new ones !

9months for Greta

18 lbs, 10 oz this girl is a chunk :) she's tapered off in the right department at 28 inches, around te 70th percentile. Seems like she's following in Eves footsteps, but only time will tell. 

She's such an amazing baby, great eater, mellow, mild mannered, and sweet. She smiles all the time. 

She is getting tired of puréed food, she really just wants table food she can pick up and feed herself, loves her some scrambled eggs! 

Se only has about 7 weeks left in her helmet, and then she's as free as a bird. Although, full disclosure, I've become quite attached to it. I am going to miss that cute face in her helmet with her pony tails sticking out the top. 

She's a pretty intense crawler now, she started army crawling. And now she's gotten her legs into it, belly is still on the floor, but she creeps around quite fast, it's getting harder to contain her. She had her first solo trip on a plane with me, and let me tell you....she's amazing. She slept, snacked, and flirted with those around her, not too much else. The occasional whine, but my best flyer for now. Just played wih cups, stir sticks, wrappers, basically anything but the toys I packed for her.
