Eves teacher went above and beyond. At the farewell picnic, she handed me a full scrapbook of the school year, with photos and details of every event. This was from Mother's Day. I love Eve and her honesty, and the sweetness she has.

Preschool Graduation
And just like that, she graduated preschool. I can't believe it, I'm not ready. In the fall she's in full day kindergarten. I don't know why, but it seems like such a huge jump to me, like she's suddenly SO much older and more mature. The truth is, she's been ready for a long time, but I don't feel ready to let go, into the school system. Where kids can be mean, and teachers impatient. But it's got to happen, and I need to just trust that she's as ready as she seems.
The school did the cutest production and graduation ceremony, it was a total surprise to me. A cap and gown? Is there anything cuter than little kids in mini caps and gowns? She and her teacher ms Tracy just happened to be in matching outfits, which is suiting, because they are tight little buddies.
Splash pad
She's scared of the water coming up, but not afraid to fill a bucket and pour it over herself.

Dance pictures by mom
I took Eve out after her recital to take a few dance pictures, this girl is made for the camera. She posed herself and everything, I just pressed a button.
Nap+gum=buzz
Someone, who shall remain nameless, took a pack of gum to nap time. Long story short, it ended with a buzz and an unfortunate looking pillowcase.
20 months for Greta Girl
Where did my baby go? And who is this toddler who wants to be a big girl?
At 20 months she thinks she's right up there with the older two. She wants to potty train so badly, all day she takes off her pans and diaper saying "potty?" She doesn't really get it, she just wants to sit on potty chairs like Graham. So I often just find her commando, running around.
She knows her body parts and areas of the face, and is saying lots of new words.
She's still a pretty good eater, she's much more adventurous than the others, so that's good. She still loves cheese. She goes to the fridge and points, she says "Chee!" Or "juuuuus"!
But she's so funny, just a little fire cracker. Can't sit still, and really can't be bothered wih tv for more than 5 mins, she wants to just be outside and run all day. She and Graham get along well, most of the time. She LOVES water, you can't keep her out of it, she jumps into every bath whether or not she's clothed.
FHE and fountains
We went down into Charlotte to visit Braden at work and have dinner with him. Sort of an improvised FHE. Then on the walk back to the car, the kids noticed that the fountains were turned on. And you can guess what happened next. It was a soggy drive home, but they had so much fun.
Hiding
I put the babies down for a nap/quiet time, and grabbed a quick shower. It was curiously quiet, and not wanting to disturb Eve, I snuck around the house wanting to check up on her. I got into a panic when I couldn't find her, and then found this.
Recital day
Recital day. She looks so big with her hair up and her dance make up, but it's her personality that is so old to me. She's such an old soul, I forget sometimes that she's only 5. She acts so much older. I took her picture, and I told her "you're going to be great, don't be nervous." And she replied calmly, "it's ok mom, coloring and saying prayers makes me calm before I go on stage." She's amazing, and so mature beyond her years. She was incredible on stage, and wasn't nervous at all.

Dance dress rehearsal
Dance dress rehearsal. Shoot me now. Almost 4 hours of keeping this baby quiet-ish. Graham on the other hand, champion. He sat there with his snack and the iPad and I literally only heard 3 words from him. When the movie ended , he looked up and said "mom..." And I said "I'll put on another one buddy," and he says "ok." That was the entire night for him, it was awesome. Greta, she was all over the place, are through half a pack of gum, bag of gummie Bears, both she and Graham's Apple sauces and fruit snacks, and then pretzels. I figured if I can keep her mouth full, she'd be somewhat quiet. She also enjoyed dancing up a storm to some of the routines.
But mostly I was so proud of Eve. It was such a long night, and she was such a trooper, she was so obedient. She sat in her chair and quietly colored in her book/watched the other dancers. Her teacher commented on how good she was, the rest of the class they had to keep from running on stage and causing a big distraction. Eves awesome.
Finished product! Table completed
Finished! It took a few weeks, and I learned a lot, but I finally finished it! Our farmhouse table and bench is finally up in the house. After everything, it ended up costing about less than 10% of what I would have paid for it in the store. So I'm very happy about that. Also learned that to get a "distressed" look, you just need to let Graham help you. He dropped hammers on the table top before it was sealed, and used sandpaper wherever he felt like it, added character right? the kids love that they can all sit along the bench and "nobody touches". So there's that.
It was my first time using a kreg jig tool for pocket holes, and I'm a huge fan. Inobviously didn't build the chairs, I ordered those online. They are completely wipeable, that was a huge factor in the decision making process.
Big sister
Best big sister award goes to Eve. She reads to the babies in the backseat on the way to school. She was teaching them about bible stories this morning, namely about David and Goliath.
You know you're a parent when...
You know your a parent when....you go to open up your glasses case and find this, wih no glasses in sight.
Final dance class
Final day at dance! It's been so fun to see Eve dance, she absolutely loves it. She doesn't love tap as much as i thought she would, she far prefers the ballet portion. They presented he dancers with a medal, which was pretty awesome to Eve. But after dance ended she told me, "Mom, I've been thinking about this, and I want to try gymnastics next time." So when I hesitantly asked her if she wanted to do both (so much driving around!) she replies, "no thank you, it's gymnastics' turn. I'll try dance again after gymnastics has a turn." Well alright then, she wans to do gymnastics instead, let's do it. I'm glad she's happy to try new things, and can be decisive about it. Her level of maturity amazes me.
School spring pictures
Spring pictures at school. These are just the proofs. I didn't end up ordering them, we just had dance pictures and I was taking some more of her at graduation. But I sure think they are cute! She is so comfortable in front of the camera.
