Someone was excited to see her favorite, Minnie Mouse.
Disney world was awesome ! Aside from the tremendous crowds, we had a really great time. We did story time with Belle, where Eve got to chat with her, so she had her wish come true. We got to wander around tomorrow land, and Graham "got to ride a real rocket!" With Braden, so his day was magical. And Greta got to see Minnie Mouse in the parade, and I thought she was going to jump right off my shoulder, she was so excited!!! We rode the dumbo ride a handful of times, they had a play place to play on while you waited.
When we took Greta to see Minnie Mouse, and get pictures, she just keptsquealing "Minnie! Minnie!" And as we got closer, her Minnie squeals started to lose some enthusiasm. And by the time we got up there, she was somewhat skiddish. I get it, those characters up close are kind of creepy, and imagine it bein 4 times your size....yeah. She wasn't going to go say hi alone. So she clung to me, and was excited when Minnie kept a respectful distance.
It was great, I happily didn't do many rides, and kept indulging in my dole pineapple whip, and took in the ambiance. There was a dance party in tomorrow land in the evening, so we all (except Eve) danced or hearts out. I keep forgetting Eve and I have different versions of fun, we all tried to get her to dance, and she wouldn't. She tried, but would stop. It's hard for her to "let loose" and not overthink it. THats just who she is, she's serious, and methodical. Anyway, I asked her "why won't you dance? it's so fun! " and her response was simple, and somewhat stern, "it's not fun for me." And I get it, we tried, and maybe one day she will loosen up. Luckily uncle Mark's girlfriend Kinzie isn't much of a dancer either, so she had someone to hang out with on the side.
Thanks to our friend Parker, who works for Disney, he took us around to get each other kids one thing they wanted from a shop. Greta, of course, chose huge pink Minnie Mouse ears. Graham, wanted a big Buzz lightyear robot, no surprises there. And after what seemed like a lifetime in the princess boutique, Eve settled on a fancy new pair of Cinderella shoes that light up. She did not take her decision lightly, from what ones she liked best, what size would be best "in case her feet grow a bit", to what would match her dress ups. It was great, exhausting, but really great. We even got to do a few rides with michael and brooke while we were here!
