She sobbed, and sobbed, "what will I do all summer?" as I straightened her hair. I tried to reassure her that we were going to have an awesome summer, with the pool, friends, family etc. But she wasn't convinced. Even at school pick-up all the kids came running out "its summer! School's over!" She solemnly walked over spilling tears. It wasn't until I told her about the 1st grade work books I bought her for the summer, did she perk up a little bit. I love how much she loves to learn, I hope we can keep that passion running throughout her life. She's such a good kid, I love her to bits.
