The family dinner was a success! We had a delicious crepe caterer, making savory and sweet crepes all night, and darling m&ms with Mark and Mckinzie on them. The littles thought that was the best part. The slideshow was darling, the food was great, and the company even greater. However, I think the highlight was when we found a giant turtle in the parking lot. The kids were mesmerized, and Graham was convinced it was a real dinosaur.
A highlight for me was finding this angelic moment between Piper and Graham. I was fortunate to have my camera around my neck at the time. He was upset about something, and he really has a soft spot for Piper. She was able to calm him down and cheer him up, and the way the light was shining on her was so telling of her. She really is such a little angel, so sweet, and so caring. I love my nieces something fierce.
One fun part was when the Peterson family showed up! It was so fun to connect with them again, as they were the ones who got this whole family started really. Without him serving his mission and baptizing my parents in Canada so many years ago, there wouldn't be the last 6 watson kids. There wouldn't be any temple weddings, and there wouldn't have been the dynamic duo of Braden and Megan. So yeah, they played an important role in our family throughout our lives as we have kept in touch from the beginning.
