Hurricane Sandy came whipping through with little warning. We did some of the basics, got water, food, charged phones etc. I cannot believe how blessed we were, we only lost power for a few hours, and internet/cable for a day. Power was coming and going, but overall we managed to stay warm. Being down the street from a bank and gas stations has its perks I guess. We are so grateful.
It was very scary hearing the wind gusts and window panes rustling. But looking on the bright side, it was so fun to have Braden home for a few extra days! His company data center got damaged so no emails or anything could be done for the few days during and after the storm, thus giving us Braden's full attention :) My office was also closed, so we just enjoyed each other's company during the less than ideal conditions. Turns out, lounging in sweats, with nowhere to be was really nice.
We got to have some good friends stay with us for a few days while they waited to receive power. It was so fun to have them over, the kids were a blast. Eve loved having some playmates.
This is them all lined up watching Cinderella. (I wonder who picked the movie?)
Graham got bored with the movie.
