Graham is 15 months

This guy is getting so big, without my consent. He's 15 months already, which means lots of things. He's running all over, ALL the time, and only 3 more months until he can go to nursery :)
But he is changing so much, my mellow "go with the flow" baby suddenly has an opinion. He used to eat whatever you put in front of him. Now, you have to be creative. He will still eat most things, but he has to think he's doing it himself. For example, the bowl of oatmeal has to sit on his tray, and he gets his own spoon to hold and try to feed himself with. Meanwhile you sneak in bites when he's not looking, or charmingly singing exaggerated versions of Old McDonald and the Wheels on the Bus. It's a science as of late. But he still eats a lot, I mean a lot. This morning he had a bowl of oatmeal, piece of toast, yogurt and then drank a good portion of grandma's smoothie. It's crazy. But I guess you have to eat that much to have the 95th percentile locked up. Just had his check up, 95th for head 95th for height, and about 75th for weight. He is a tank. 32 inches long, he is only 4 inches short of his sister that is 2.5 years his senior. Haha, she will soon regret the bullying that has transpired over the past year, he's catching up quickly. He is 26.5 lbs, and only 3 lbs lighter than Eve.

He is so incredibly busy, really no words can adequately describe just how busy he is. He can climb anything. I left him for about 3 mins and came to find him climbed up standing in my bathroom sink picking all the blossoms off my decorative branches on the counter. He can get on top of the kitchen table in mere seconds. And any chair, stair, table, dresser, seems to have this cosmic power that lures him in, he must climb it. And if you get in the way, heaven help you.

Fun fact, did you know rats can squeeze their way through a hole the size of a quarter? Yeah, Graham's a lot like that. But we sure love him, he is such a sweetheart. Aside from the boyish tendencies, he's such a great toddler. He is absolutely obsessed with his sisters. He wants to snuggle that baby all the time, she's never safe. Leaving her on the couch means Graham standing right next to it, giving her his version of soft pats and hugs...it usually ends in a fussy newborn, but that's ok, I'm glad he loves her. He loves every opportunity to hold her (with protective help of course) and when it's time to take her, well he gets this Kung fu grip on her like I've never seen. He's going to be a very protective big brother :) he stopped stealing her pacifiers, he now shoves them in her mouth to the point where she gags a bit, but he is always so proud of himself when he does it. He started playing with Eve's baby dolls it's the cutest thing ever. We love you Graham, even if your shenanigans have shaved at least 10 years off my life.
Keeping it classy at the Edwards home :)

  1. Oh man. How will ever survive the next year? Matthew has his eye on all of the tricks you mentioned Graham doing and I can hardly keep up with him already! Your kids are adorable.
