Pisgah National Forest- part 2

We spent our 2 nights by the fire, and of course making s'mores! Basically the kids put a marshmallow on the end of a roasting stick, held it about 2 feet from the fire for 2 mins and said "it's done!" They pretty much just ate raw marshmallows, but that's ok, it left more space for Braden and I to slow roast ours to perfection. Also, we found Heath bars make a fantastic s'more!

The coolest part of the weekend was the Pisgah falls rock slide! It was so much fun! I spent a long time convincing Eve that it wasn't scary, and that it was so much fun. And against her better judgement, she came with me. 

Well, water was cold, and we got into a little bit of a current causing us to get turned over so we slid down the last half with me on top of her trying (and failing) to get us flipped back over. She came up screaming, and needless to say, didn't want to go again. Graham went once, but didn't care to go again. But they had fun watching other people go down, especially Braden. It was so fun to see him be a kid again.
